1. Introduction

Solo ("we", "us", "our") provides community, planning, and resource tools for single mothers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Solo, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your email, display name, and password (stored hashed) when you sign up.
  • Profile information — optional details you add such as ZIP code, avatar, and notification preferences.
  • App activity — saved resources, applications you track, and onboarding selections, used to personalize your experience.
  • Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification tokens (if you opt in).
  • Usage data — basic logs and crash reports to keep the app reliable.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Solo's features.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Personalize resources, recommendations, and content for your location and needs.
  • Send you notifications you've opted into (e.g., reminders, new resources).
  • Diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who host our backend, send notifications, or help us operate the app, under contracts that protect your data.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time from Profile settings; we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your choices

  • Access, update, or delete your profile from inside the app.
  • Turn push notifications on or off in your device settings.
  • Request a copy of your data or its deletion by emailing us (see below).

7. Children's privacy

Solo is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use of Solo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
